Thousands of visitors travel to Amritsar every week from all over India to visit the Golden Temple... but not only for the sacredness and beauty of the place, but also for the incredible and admirable work that you is behind this by now from 400 years.

An immense service that provides free meals and free accommodation every day of the year. Arrived into this city there is also a free shuttle service from the train station to the Golden Temple (and vice versa). Free bus means a predictable crowd of Indians who try in every way to fit inside in an almost wild way. At the moment it was, so to speak, almost empty and quiet .. in times more frantic I saw small children be transported over the crowd and caught in the air from the people inside. (i didn't have my camera ready.. a pity). I did not even dared to try to get inside. With the heat of the day it would have been more a torture than a trip (30 minutes).. bicycle Rikshó for 30rupees was the solution more obvious.
