In the Thar desert in Rajasthan there is the famous city of Jaisalmer. If you leave the city and wander in the surrounding desert, you will find many villages of gypsies. People used to a life almost without electricity and where water is one of the most precious assets.

For a Buddhist Monk, the debate is a crucial aspect of his own curriculum. It's used to sharpen their critical skills and test their ability to explain and debate various teachings. The monks train periodically on debating and is an effective means of expanding the mind, increasing mental sharpness, developing analytical capacity, and gaining internal clarity.

Nowadays the most of Japanese people are not very religious and they go to the temple for praying very few times during the year.. perhaps just once at the last day of the year. The most common religions are the Shinto and the Buddhism that are actually quite similar.

During a festival in southern Japan, I saw an old Japanese summer tradition. It is a cold dish, called NAGASHISOUMEN, which in the past was often served in a particular way. Basically they cut long canes of Bamboo which are used as a slide.

Another "branch" of Otaku are the famous "Idols". The fashion of the Idols can be very sensational and often also older people are very attracted. The Idols are bands, groups of girls or boys that the media turn into real media phenomena that are venerated almost as gods.

This s a tiny village of Burma's refugee, where the people of the Longneck tribe are forced to live from the Thai government since more than 20 years. This village is also sadly known as a "Human Zoo", where the life and the culture of this special tribe is always showcased for tourists from all the world... just for the price of a ticket (250bhat). By now the people of this village gave up their freedom and their human rights..

During my stay in northern Thailand I rented a scooter and drove in company with an Australian girl met a few days earlier, through the villages in the mountains around Mae Hong Son. We were looking for the Burma's refugee villages to witness the different situations of life in the villages. This is the "Ban Nai Son Kayan Longneck Village", a small and remote village of huts almost inaccessible because of the dire condition of the road that leads here.

During my stay in Bangladesh I have been hosted by a very nice family in a small village. This village which i do not remember the name, is located near the city of Comilla. The hospitality of the people is really great, definitely the best I've ever seen in my life.

Why are you a photographer? for what? This is an important question that sooner or later you have to make to yourself. One of the days spent in Amritsar made me understand more, an aspect that I love about photography.
