A shot from the "Human Zoo" inhabited by tribes of Longneck. This is a difficult technique of weaving handed down from generation to generation by this special tribe. Technique now used to make souvenirs for tourists who come to visit.

A buddhist monk concentrated on his prayer in front of a giant statue of Buddha. We are in Sukhothai, and this monk is visiting the ruins of this ancient fallen empire. Sukhothai is a strong tourist attraction and also monks come to enjoy a tour among these beautiful and interesting ruins.

Another shot from the Longneck village.. This is one of the huts where a family is living moments of normality just a few meters from the main street, the one of the shops, the one for tourists, where they spend most of their time and their lives. The huts are very rudimentary and there is no electricity.

During the visit of a village close to Mae Hong Son, we met this old lady making spices in her hut. At the sight of foreigners she was very surprised and she didn't know what to do.. didn't know a word in English but she seemed to say: What are you doing here?

Sukhothai is a city in the north of Thailand halfway between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. The new city is located 12km from the ancient ruins of what was once the capital of the Kingdom of Sukhothai.

My trip in North Thailand hasn’t been long enough to explore deeply all the area. I've spent the most of my time on the North West around Mae Hong Son district.
