The agoriginals of Taiwan are a really a minor ethnicity. In the small village of Dulan, on the east coast of Taiwan, you can see them living a peaceful life.. dedicating mostly to activities such as fishing.

Explosive dance

Religious festival (Taoism) in a small village in the south of Taiwan. This man, wearing a mask for protection, was performing a kind of special dance through the many explosions of the firecrackers on the ground. Surely an impressive ritual.

The Aboriginal Tao

The aboriginals of Lanyu are a minor ethnic group called Tao, that come from the Philippines, and emigrated to this small island on the south of Taiwan, in an ancient past. The physical attributes are slightly different from the common Taiwanese, and most of them speak a language more similar to filipino.
