During my stay in Bangladesh I have been hosted by a very nice family in a small village. This village which i do not remember the name, is located near the city of Comilla. The hospitality of the people is really great, definitely the best I've ever seen in my life.
A normal day around the city of Seoul, is turned into a succession of events.. interesting and funny. The daily goal was the visiting of the royal palace, but on the way something caught my attention. Before there was a stand where you could wear for free the typical clothes of Korean Emperor.. Ok, very touristic, but it was free, so why no?
An experience that i will surely remember are the two days spent in SaPa. A beautiful walk through the valleys covered by rice terraces of emerald green color, visiting small villages of huts inhabited by the Hmong. I spent the night hosted by a local family, sleeping in a hut and drinking in company of an elderly local. Great hospitality and atmosphere, which I tried to represent with this shot.
The South Korea is a country very developed and modern, especially when compared to all the countries of Indochina. The problem of this nation (as far as I know) is perhaps a mentality a bit too closed. Foreigners are not always seen very well... It makes you think the fact that many banks do not accept foreign credit cards, and sometimes even for payments on the Internet is problematic.
One shot from the subway in Osaka.. a classic glimpse of the modern Japanese cities. People who run for not miss the train with the classic protective mask. Others stop for a few minutes in one of these typical metropolitan bar.. chairs? there is no time to sit.
The chaotic city life on the streets and sidewalks of Saigon.. scooters everywhere, can come from all sides. Do not be surprised to see them in the wrong direction.. practically there are no rules.
One shot taken on the streets of Colombo .. An ordinary woman, an ordinary day, the thoughts of the daily life, while waiting to return home after a day of work.
What about the bus in Sri Lanka .... simply Crazy! Criminals provided to public transport.. I have never seen such a thing, really.. The explanation is simple: they are paid according to how many people they charge during the day.
This is a small island nearby Hoi An where the electricity is available only few hours each day. An island where the most of the people are fishermen. This is an house of one of them where a man was working on his net..
The contrast between the modern culture and the ancient one, in Japan is well marked ... two worlds completely poles apart.
There are modern cities like Tokyo and Osaka where now the technology and modern style took almost over.
