You can probably call Rajasthan as the state of the colors.. Several cities are distinguished in different colors:
Udaipur: The White City
Jaipur: The Pink City
Jodhpur: The Blue City
Jaisalmer: The Golden City
The name comes from the color that is painted on the most of the houses in the old part of the cities. Jaipur is the pink city for this pink color that you see in the picture, visible in almost all the houses within the old walls of the city. The photo is taken inside the city palace, once the heart of Jaipur.
