Another shot from the Longneck village.. This is one of the huts where a family is living moments of normality just a few meters from the main street, the one of the shops, the one for tourists, where they spend most of their time and their lives. The huts are very rudimentary and there is no electricity.

In this village as in many others, there are women who truly live their tradition and others that are used to do it for tourists.
Why do they do this? Fear and very few choices.. The village, or the zoo, is controlled by the Thai authorities and supervised by a person of whom these people are afraid. An individual who controls that the things go how they have to go.
The people of this village are refugees and this category here seems to have no rights. They can not work and even if married with Thai men, can not leave this little village. The business behind this culture brings lot of money into the coffers of the Thai government and mafia.
When shooting this photo the woman he was clearly frustrated about the presence of a "tourist" even at the "backstage" of the zoo.
