The South Korea is a country very developed and modern, especially when compared to all the countries of Indochina. The problem of this nation (as far as I know) is perhaps a mentality a bit too closed. Foreigners are not always seen very well... It makes you think the fact that many banks do not accept foreign credit cards, and sometimes even for payments on the Internet is problematic.

Communicate is really hard.. they don't speak English almost at all. Unfortunately it seems that many people consider it useless; the thing is simple: if you go to Korea you have to speak the Korean language. When instead they travel, often are in a group and they pay a Korean guide. Maybe there is a strong nationalism, especially in older generations. Young people normally are more open. I met many nice people, but sometimes it seems that others see you with distrust.
So, remember that once here you'll have many communication problems and sometimes also organizational.
